Leah is a Postgraduate in Youth & Community Professional Development with extensive experience of capacity building, volunteer management, child protection & delivering training in the charitable sector, along with developing and managing youth mentoring projects in the UK and Africa. For over 10 years Leah has worked on and implemented various youth and community projects in the North of England and overseas including Ecuador, Uganda, Kenya and Zambia. She has a passion to safeguard young people through prevention and early intervention and enjoys facilitating workshops on Personal Social Health Education and training peer mentors to successfully run their own awareness raising and mentoring programmes.
In 2017 Leah spent two months with The Butterfly Tree Charity in Zambia helping to further develop the Peer Educators and implement the Zambezi Youth Empowerment group and orphan mentoring programme. She is continuing to support and grow these projects from home and hopes to return to Zambia in the future to expand them even more.
