Alongside personal donations The Butterfly Tree works with a number of companies in the UK and beyond. Our Corporate Sponsors range from small businesses to multi nationals with the size and nature of the donation and support varying. Many of them have supported us for several years, resulting in one company director being appointed a trustee of the charity.

“We have been supporting 15 orphans in Mukuni Village for 8 years now. In March 2012 I was lucky enough to be able to visit the village and meet the amazing children that we sponsor. The support that they get from The Butterfly Tree is amazing, and despite their hardship, they are all growing up to be amazing people. The Butterfly Tree really are doing an amazing job in Zambia and every penny helps. Whether you want to sponsor an orphan to go to school or pay for a new school block, it all makes a difference.”  Wendy – Director STM Accounting

What is Corporate Social Responsibility?

Most companies generally fall into two categories, for-profit and non-profit. Corporate Social Responsibility is ‘a concept whereby organisations consider the interests of society by taking responsibility for the impact of their activities on customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders, communities and other stakeholders, as well as the environment. This should be an essential part of business in today’s world and we are extremely grateful to the companies that are supporting The Butterfly Tree.

Corporate Social Responsibility can be beneficial for long-term business success as well as for helping local and international communities. Responsible business practice can considerably enhance your appeal and attract consumers. Partnering with The Butterfly Tree highlights the fact that you are a responsible business, helping to make a measurable difference and not just out to make profits. A small percentage of your profits could have a huge impact on our charity. We have successfully built schools, community houses, installed boreholes and initiated malaria prevention projects with funds received from Corporate Sponsorship.
