Donate OnlineThe Butterfly Tree has been working in outreach communities of Zambia for over thirteen years. We have over thirty on going projects relating to water, food, health, including malaria prevention, education, orphan support and community projects. We have helped more than thirty-five schools and ten clinics in five Chiefdom in the Kazungula and Livingstone Districts. We are working at national level with our malaria prevention programme.

2019 is proving to be one of our best years to date, with four schools currently being expanded, a new health in the final stages of construction, and the completeion of a maternity ward and mother’s shelter. Four more schools will be given mosquito nets and more villages will be protected against malaria.

2017 was a trememdous year and 2018 is proving to be very successful. Last year we helped to develop six schools, two with science labs, installed 6 boreholes and completed a rural health centre. We further advanced our  malaria prevention, supported more orphans and increased our HIV prevention workshops using peer educators.

2016 was an amazing year – 4 new boreholes, latrines, 8 classrooms, a teacher’s house, a boarding shelter and a clinic. In addition we continued to have substantial success with our malaria prevention project.

2015 saw the launch of a new nationwide malaria prevention initiative.

We work with some wonderful volunteers and fundraisers, corporate and individuals, all making their unique contributions to the charity. From £5 donations for a mosquito net, fundraising with schools or through challenges such as marathons and climbing mountains. Many visit the projects in Mukuni, volunteer to build classrooms or teach in class. Corporate Sponsors supporting malaria prevention and feeding programmes and much, much more. We very much appreciate all the support we have received, but as always more help is needed – more on donating.
